This is my precious firstborn baby Sophie. She is now 10 years old and proof of how fast they grow up. She loves arts and crafts and drawing and sketching her own fashion designs. She also loves to ride her bike and play volleyball and run like crazy. She likes her new school and made all A's and B's on her progress report this week. I am so completely proud to be her mother and in awe of the young lady she is becoming.

She loves to read
This is my precious baby G.G.. She is now sitting up all on her own. She was 5 months old yesterday. She actually plays now. She loves to sit in her high chair and play with her rattle and teething rings. She shakes them and laughs. I can't believe how fast they grow up. I am so blessed to have this little baby and I am so proud to be her mother.Thursday, February 8, 2007
Sleep!!!!
Finally! We've been getting some sleep at night. I may have figured out the problem. At least part of the problem with the teething. You know we've moved and so I am having to find all new doctors for all of us. I found a pediatrician and went to her for the first time at G.G.'s 4 month check up. We talked about teething and she told me when it started to get bad to rub Infant Benadryl on her gums. She said it tasted better and worked better to numb their gums. So, I've been doing that. After several nights of absolutely no sleep thinking that her gums were killing her and so rubbing more benadryl on them, duh, light bulb. Maybe the benadryl is doing this. She can't go to sleep. So I stopped doing that and the past two nights have been heaven. She does wake up one time and I nurse her and then she is down for the rest of the night.
So I think I'll be listening to my mothering instincts a little more.

Getting away from it all
We took a short trip to Destin, Florida this weekend. My grandparents go there from January to February every year and I have some cousins there as well. We had a good time even though it was freezing! G.G. went swimming for the first time in the indoor pool. Sophie took a long walk on the beach with my grandmother. It was a good little get away.

Teething Woes
If I don't get some sleep soon, I might go crazy! Someone please help me. This little baby of mine does not want to sleep. It's been going on for a few nights. Yesterday , I was playing with her and noticed the little white patches on her gums. Her two bottom teeth look like they are trying to make their way through. So before bed I gave her some Tylenol hoping that would help. Not so much. She was again up at 1:30 am and did not want to go back to sleep this time. A couple of nights ago, she woke up at 12:30 and was up every hour after that. I really don't know what to do. Let her cry it out? That doesn't really feel right to me.
Any advice???????
