She smiled this time

Sophie made the honor roll. We are just so proud of her. She's really doing well in her new school. I do think she is very happy that it is summer vacation now. This was her last week of school. She's looking forward to lazy days at the pool and staying up late.

She also had her end of the year party at school. They had a luau theme and did face painting. This girl LOVES monkeys, so she of course had a monkey painted on her face.

Just the way he pictured it

Before G.G. was born, before we even knew if she was a boy or a girl, her daddy went to New York for work. He went into the city and went to FAO Schwartz. He was so excited to find this little boat for our baby to play in. So with all of the stuff he also got for Sophie, he lugged this huge thing through New York City. On the train, through the airport, on the plane. We moved when she was just a couple of months old into a rental house. So we still have most of our stuff packed away in boxes in our storage room ( the garage). We were looking through boxes a couple of weeks ago and found it. He was so happy to see her playing in it. It's her new hang out spot. She even naps in it.
Thank you Daddy!

Thank you Megan!

My sister in law, Megan, bought G.G. this cute little outfit. I never put shoes on G.G. but these little sandals were so sweet, I wanted to see how long they would stay on. Anyway, the little turkey was quick in those shoes! I couldn't get a picture.

Finally, she slowed down long enough for me to grab this one.
