I tried to get a video of GG singing Jingle Bells. This was as good as it got. I tried. Enjoy the brotherly/sisterly love. And hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Catching up...
Wow... things have been crazy lately. Very busy. I wanted to catch up with a few things. The way these pictures uploaded are a little backwards, but oh well. We had Thanksgiving at our house with Josh's parents. It was really a great time. We also did our Christmas with them and it was Josh's birthday as well. It was a very busy few days. But lots of fun. GG got sick the week of Thanksgiving and then it went on to Shep. He was sick the week after and had to be on breathing treatments for a few days. Everyone is doing better now though.
This is our Christmas tree. We did a real one this year.
GG really got the knack for presents this year. And she can't get enough. She'll open all hers and yours too! She loves it.
The girls with Grandma Whiting.
The boy with Grampy Whiting
Josh blowing out his candles. Whew... he's old.
Shep napping on Grandma. One of his favorite places to nap :).
The children enjoying Thanksgiving dinner. Cooked by Grandma. It was wonderful.

Another random post
This feels really random but I guess that's what happens when I don't post anything for a while. I've got a lot of pictures and too much that's happened to make any sense of it. Oh well. Here goes.
GG has been falling asleep in random places again. Eating a treat of chocolate cake at the table. And on the couch while watching Noggin.
Love these kids!

Wearing the babe
This week is International Babywearing week. A great blog that I read, Adventures in Babywearing, is hosting a giveaway from Nonny & Boo and asking that we share our babywearing stories. I am fairly new to babywearing. With Sophie, I didn't at all. Didn't know anything about it, never heard of it. With GG, I had the standard Baby Bjorn, and I did enjoy that. Although it does hurt my back after a while. When Shep was born, knowing that he would probably be my last baby, I wanted to make sure and do things with him that I always wanted to do. Like exclusively nursing and babywearing. Before he was born, I purchased a Peanut Shell sling. And I LOVE it. I've looked through all of my pictures and have none of me carrying him in this, but I use it a lot. It has been very versatile for me. I've carried him in every different position, except the back carry. Haven't tried that yet. I also just purchased a Sleepy Wrap. I wish I would have had this when he was smaller, but I think it will work out. I've used it a couple of times and he seems to like it. Yesterday, I used it in the grocery store and he slept the entire time. It was wonderful. It doesn't hurt my back and he seems very cozy in it.
This is the Sleepy Wrap. I don't think I have it tied right for the back carry, but you get the idea.
I even tried GG in it.
Here is Daddy doing a little babywearing.
With Shep.
And GG.

So make sure you check out Steph and her list of all the great babywearing bloggers out there. And if you are at all interested in babywearing, she is a wonderful resource.

Ummm... maybe she's watched a little too much TV this week
Yesterday at the DR I gave GG a kleenex to wipe her nose. She looked at me, threw it behind her and informed me," You'll never find it now! HA!HA!HA!". She also ran up to me yesterday and said, "Mommy! How will we cross crocodile lake?!?!". I guess my response should have been, " The map!".
Little too much Dora going on in our house.

A Little Bit o' GG
Cereal with milk. This just makes me look at her and know she is no longer a baby. She's a big girl that can eat cereal with milk for breakfast without making a mess.
And it's that time of year again. Footie pajamas. This makes me feel like she's not so big after all. She is so small and cozy and warm when she wears these. I love to snuggle up with her like this.
It's also time for the first cold of the season. And it's a doozy. Fever and everything.
Get well sweet girl.

the nature
We decided to get out and enjoy a little bit of nature on Sunday. We went to Little River Canyon in Fort Payne, Alabama. It was beautiful. The colors this time of year were breathtaking.
This was my attempt to get them all three in a picture again. It never works out like I think it will.
See Sophie's shirt? Protect Nature. We love the nature.
This is GG's smile again. She now says " Piece of cheese!!" when she smiles for a picture.
Awww.. little Shep just enjoyed the ride.

6 months
My baby boy is six months old. I can't believe it. Sometimes I feel like he just got here and sometimes I feel like we were never without him.
He is such a happy baby. He loves to watch his sisters and they can really make him laugh. Full on, hard to catch your breath belly laughs. He gives kisses. Big, open mouth on the cheek kisses.
He loves his daddy. He loves to sit on his lap and watch a little football. You know, guy stuff.
He loves to snuggle and cuddle and he always ends up in our bed during the night.
He is rolling everywhere. I think he's kind of doing an army crawl thing too but mostly rolling. And he can roll himself anywhere he wants to go. Today he was playing on the floor in his room and when I went to check on him, he was almost in the hallway. He is almost sitting up. He'll do it for a few seconds and then fall over. But we practice everyday and he's getting stronger. He's eating baby food now. Loves squash and sweet potatoes. Not big on the greens just yet.
He has two teeth and I think we'll be seeing a couple of more shortly. He loves to nurse and I must admit, I love it too. He's my last baby and I'm in no hurry for those special times to end just yet.
Our sweet Shep.
You are loved little man!
Happy half birthday!

Beaches and Birthdays
We went to visit the Daddy where he is working in Dothan, Alabama this past weekend. Oh, how we have missed him. And he's missed us a little too, I think. It was a fun visit. We decided to head to the beach Sunday since we were only an hour away. Aside from spending over an hour looking for sun hats for the two little ones (that they didn't even wear!) it was a great time.
I had a great idea to get a really good picture of the kids for maybe a christmas card or something. Or at least just to have a picture of them together on the beach. This is how they all turned out. I was a little bit stressed out about it. Then I decided just to let them have fun and play.
GG literally just walked up and down the beach. Up and down and everywhere. Never looking at my camera. Too busy for any pictures, Mom. She called it her " big sandbock".
She'll look at the camera though.
She's growing up too fast.
I don't like it.
walking
Oh, and it was also my birthday on Saturday.
36th birthday.
Yikes.
