This week is International Babywearing week. A great blog that I read, Adventures in Babywearing, is hosting a giveaway from Nonny & Boo and asking that we share our babywearing stories. I am fairly new to babywearing. With Sophie, I didn't at all. Didn't know anything about it, never heard of it. With GG, I had the standard Baby Bjorn, and I did enjoy that. Although it does hurt my back after a while. When Shep was born, knowing that he would probably be my last baby, I wanted to make sure and do things with him that I always wanted to do. Like exclusively nursing and babywearing. Before he was born, I purchased a Peanut Shell sling. And I LOVE it. I've looked through all of my pictures and have none of me carrying him in this, but I use it a lot. It has been very versatile for me. I've carried him in every different position, except the back carry. Haven't tried that yet. I also just purchased a Sleepy Wrap. I wish I would have had this when he was smaller, but I think it will work out. I've used it a couple of times and he seems to like it. Yesterday, I used it in the grocery store and he slept the entire time. It was wonderful. It doesn't hurt my back and he seems very cozy in it.
This is the Sleepy Wrap. I don't think I have it tied right for the back carry, but you get the idea.
I even tried GG in it.
Here is Daddy doing a little babywearing.
With Shep.
And GG.

So make sure you check out Steph and her list of all the great babywearing bloggers out there. And if you are at all interested in babywearing, she is a wonderful resource.

My hubby has only tried babywearing a few times, and has never been caught on camera.
Great pics! Thanks for sharing! I love babywearing too!
How do you get him on your back? I know he's a strong little thing...does he just jump up there??
Keri -
yeah, he just climbs on. like a little baby monkey : ).
Sophie put him in there, silly.
I love to wear Ali- and she loves it too! It is especially nice when I'm vacumming or mopping and she fusses. She almost always goes right to sleep in it!
Plus, it provides a better workout to wear her when I take walks:)
