Flower Children

We decided yesterday would be an outside day. G.G. has been so sick and Sophie also got a little cold. I have been sick as well and so we have spent a lot of time indoors lately. Josh came home last week and we were thrilled about that. Our little family is all back together now. We went to the Oak Mountain State Park and found a little area and played frisbee and made flower crowns. It was a great day. I absolutely love spending time like this with my husband and our two beautiful daughters. I can't think of anything better.

She's mobile!

I sat G.G. in the living room floor and went to get ready to pick Sophie up from school. I could hear her playing and then all of the sudden realized it had become really quiet. I went to the living room and found this. She was having so much fun. I guess it's really time to babyproof.

Spring Break 4/16/07 - 4/21/07

Well, we had a great time on Sophie's spring break. Josh was working out of town so we decided to go back to Memphis and Kentucky and have a visit with family and friends. It was fun. We first went to Memphis and stayed with my brother Andy and sister in law Megan. The girls had fun playing with their cousins, Hattie and Hayden. We also met up with my Dad and step-Mom and my other brother Jason and his girlfriend Jennifer. We miss everyone so much and it was so nice to all be together again. We didn't get to visit with everyone we wanted to. Time got away from us a little. We then headed up to Kentucky to see my mom and my grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed a lot of time outside with the kids.

G.G. did come back home sick. We went to the DR and she has an ear infection and just a bad cold , I guess. Lots of congestion. So we are staying home and trying to get her well.

The little things

We are living in a rental house right now. We didn't know anyone in our new town or know the area so we decided it would be smart to rent and really learn where we want to be when we buy. Anyway, I'm really hating it. I want to be a homeowner again! The house is teeny tiny and the majority of our stuff is in the garage. It is packed floor to ceiling, wall to wall.

All that to say, we finally put up the swing for the kids. We really needed to be able to get outside and play a little. I bought G.G. a baby swing and attached it yesterday. She LOVES it. She just giggles and smiles. So it feels a little more like home now.

Easter Extravaganza

We had a really good Easter weekend. Josh got to come home for the weekend so we were all together. The girls looked so sweet in their Easter dresses. G.G. wore a dress that my Grandmother gave Sophie when she was a baby and Sophie wore it her first Easter. Of course Sophie got a new one. She is growing up too fast. She looked like a young lady. We went to the church that we have visited a couple of times. We really enjoyed the message and will probably continue to visit. Josh's parents came for the day and we cooked out. It was really nice. I was just a little sad not seeing my family. It's very strange for me to be away from my brothers and my little niece and nephew. But we are adjusting and look forward to a nice long visit with all of them soon.

The Easter bunny may have gone a little overboard. :)
Sophie woke up first so we watched her open her treats.

Then came our little G.G.. I think she was more excited about this wrapping than what was actually in the basket.

Somebody's pooped! It was a very exciting and long day for this little one.
