Whew... what a weekend we had. I decided to drive south to see my traveling husband over the weekend. He's been gone way too long and we needed a fix. So I grabbed the little ones ( Sophie decided she would rather stay here in town at a friends house) and took off. Let me just say something about Sophie. We missed her so much. I understand the age she is at and that she is beginning to enjoy being with her friends a lot more but man, I hate it. I'm selfish and I like it when all my babies are with me. Anyway... we got to Dothan Friday evening. Had some sushi (yum) and turned in for the night. Saturday morning we headed to the beach for the weekend. GG has been saying on a daily basis that she wants to go to the beach. "And will you go with her?" " Do you want to go to the beach?" " Can I dig in the sand?" " Can I?" " Can I?" That is a lot of what she's been saying lately so we decided to, finally, GO TO THE BEACH already. And my sweet sweet husband took the kids for most of the day Sunday and let me be alone. I didn't really know what to do with myself at first. I figured it out pretty quickly. I laid on the beach, drank pina coladas and read a book. It was glorious. I did miss them though. A little ;).
Finally! She got to dig.
Good Morning Sheppy!
Just GG.
In her bathing "soup". She was very excited to be wearing her "soup" and even asked the maintenance man putting up the safety net if he like her "soup". "See, it has fwowers!", she told him.
Shep in his super cute suit and hat. Thank you to my Great Aunt Nell for giving this to him. He was precious in it!
The view from our room. There was a dance competition the day we got there. It was crazy and not so much fun for us. Although I think all the competitors were having a great time. It was so weird how rude they all were. Anyway...
After a long day.
Spinning in her new cute, colorful dress from the Walmarts.
Aaahhh!! Scary!
Josh worked all day on this sandcastle.
Awww... my boys.
A walk on the beach with Daddy.
Sunrise.
